Superintendent Dr. Daniel D. Curry formally notified the Board of Education that he does not plan to ask for renewal of his contract as he plans to retire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
The Superintendent is not required to notify the Board until February before the expiration of his contract however, Dr. Curry informed the Board in September 2021. “I wanted to provide the Board of Education with ample time to plan for the process of selecting a new superintendent”.

Before his appointment in CCPS, he served 26 years as a school superintendent in West Virginia and Delaware.
